CANCELLATION POLICY
FULL DAY AND HALF DAY TOURS
Cancellations or amendments must be made in writing (email) and received by Capricorn Seakayaking before the time constraints detailed within the Cancellation Policy. To avoid any miscommunications, requests for cancellations, or amendments over the phone will not be accepted.
If you cancel your tour within 72 hours of tour departure, the full amount of the tour will be charged, no refunds are given.
CANCELLATIONS FOR MULTI-DAY EXPEDITIONS
All tour cancellation or amendments requests must be received in writing (email). To avoid any miscommunications, requests for cancellations, or amendments over the phone will not be accepted. This tour has 30 day cancellation policy. If you cancel your tour within 30 days of tour departure, the full amount of the tour will be charged, no refunds are given. If you cancel 30 days or more prior to tour departure, you will receive full refund, minus any non-refundable booking fees or credit card processing fees. We advise you to take out travel insurance to cover cost of the tour in case of emergencies, travel delays or unforeseen changes. In the event of the tour being cancelled once underway for unforeseen reasons, a possible partial refund will be considered upon application for full paying customers.
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel a tour due to COVID-19-related restrictions we can:
- Change the date of your tour departure OR
- Provide you with a gift voucher for the full amount paid. This gift voucher is valid for two years. These vouchers can also be transferred to other people if you wish to sell or gift them in future.
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) FOR MULTI-DAY EXPEDITIONS
Any multi-day tour cancellation, due to COVID-related government restrictions beyond the
customer’s control, received by EAC more than 14 days prior to tour departure is eligible for a full refund. If a customer cancels within 14 days, due to government-imposed restrictions beyond the customer's control, we offer a 70% refund, and 30% (or equal to tour deposit) will be issued as a voucher to re-book, with a 3-year validity.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that travellers purchase full travel insurance.
ITINERARY CHANGES
Due to the nature of our tours, weather, local council or government regulations may require changes to be made to the itineraries, or cancellation of certain excursions. Every attempt will be made to adhere to the itineraries described within the tour itinerary. In the event of changes, travellers have no right to any refund or other compensation. Should you choose not to take part in any activity or make use of the services provided, no refund will be made.
HEALTH INFORMATION
Capricorn Seakayaking tours are intended for persons in reasonable health. By forwarding the tour booking you certify that you do not have any physical conditions or disabilities that would create a hazard for you or other passengers. Capricorn Seakayaking reserves the right to decline to accept you should your health, actions or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or rights, welfare or enjoyment of other travellers.
RESPONSIBILITY
Capricorn Seakayaking, its staff, volunteers and associates shall not be held responsible for any liability of property loss or damage and/ or damages resulting from illness, personal injuries or death that may be sustained while engaged on our tours. Capricorn Seakayaking shall not be held responsible for any injury resulting to a person or damage or loss to property arising out of civil disturbances, weather, or Acts of God during our tours.
PENGUIN ISLAND ACCESS RESTRICTION 35C + :
The State Government has taken steps to protect the vulnerable little penguins at Penguin Island, following a concerning decline in their population. Penguin Island will be closed to the public on the hottest days of the year and during the extended breeding season to protect the population. If the weather is forecast to be 35 degrees or higher (taken from the island, not the mainland), visitors will not be permitted on Penguin Island. Decisions on this hot weather closure will be made on the day prior. Please be aware of this potential closure due to hot weather when making reservations to avoid any disappointment that this may cause.
