Our Shark Bay 4 and 6 day sea kayak expeditions start in Denham, Shark Bay, where we meet the evening before the tour starts and discuss "next day plans". We re-meet in the morning to organize gear and pack the sea kayaks. After a short kayak instruction and safety talk we hit the water and go! We have various journey options, all depending on wind, seas and general weather.
The Monkey Mia to Cape Peron is one popular option, another is the Denham to Cape Peron. We are also keen to explore other areas of Shark Bay especially the western gulf, around Tamala Station.
We will be joined by "Capes" local aboriginal guide to share some of his stories and culture of the Mulgana people, from Shark Bay.
We can expect to see amazing marine life up close and personal. The star filled night sky will amaze. One lasting impression of Shark Bay is the variety and abundance of bird life, from huge white bellied sea eagles to flocks of hundreds of cormorants.
Hopefully we'll catch a fish or two to supplement our supplies.
In 2009 we have 1 Shark Bay 4 Day Tour scheduled for June 21 - 14 ($1195), and a 7 Day Dirk Hartog Island, Shark Bay Tour 27th September - October 3rd ($2095).
Please email for more detail. We are finalising permissions needed for camp site options.
